Three Types of Dental, Vision & Hearing Insurance Plan Options

Medicare Advantage Add-on

Seniors on a Medicare Advantage plan may contact their Medicare plan to see what's available and if they can add this benefit on, usually ranging from $20-$50 per month depending on the level of benefits they want. Seniors who have a sub-optimal add-on from their Medicare Advantage plan may want to consider switching to a better 5-star plan with better benefits that accepts enrollments anytime of the year.

Stand Alone Insurance Plans

Seniors on a Medicare Supplement plan or who have a Medicare Advantage plan with a sub-optimal add-on plan may opt for a dedicated plan that just focuses on providing dental or vision benefits. These plans usually have richer benefits than either combo plans or add-on options and range in price from affordable to expensive depending on the amount of coverage you are looking for.

Combination Insurance Plans

 Seniors on a Medicare Supplement or Advantage plan wanting to coverage for dental, vision and hearing benefits, but don’t want to pay for individual plans to cover all three should consider getting a combination plan that basically allows you to utilize the plan for all three benefits throughout the year, or allows you to switch between the different benefits based on a pool of money.

Pay the lowest out-of-pocket cost for your ancillary medical needs!
